I didn't even think about until I just read a post about the favor running out. The next update will have another way to elongate the favor we have! Do you think so? I'm sure there's other things, but you have to think Anet knows that many people have left and favor isn't exactly going through the roof like it was.

Nah, I doubt that's what they're planning. They already prepared for this by adding passage scrolls months ago.

Passage scrolls have been around forever and the price will shoot up for those then.

The object of Anet right now isn't "ZOMG! Everyone has to have favor 100% of the time!" To me, it has to run out every once in a while, otherwise, why implement passage scrolls? Its probably good for the game if we don't always have 2 weeks of favor.

Besides, during Dragon Fest, people are going to be maxing (un)Lucky like no tomorrow, so favor will be back up soon enough.

I didn't think about that. I only thought PvE titles brought favor back up. I mean titles like reputation.

I never said they wouldn't shoot up. In fact, that may be what Anet is planning. Favor runs out..... scroll prices shoot up.... ecto prices shoot up.... Bam, everything is somewhat back to normal and the UW can be treated like an elite area again and not a perma-sin playground (probably just wishful thinking)

I do not think scroll prices will keep permas away. Increase in price of ectos will probably result in more farming.

I wonder, how many mules are totally filled with ectos?

i wish favor was still like the battling in the HoH...that's at least what the prophecies storyline tells you. the title thing kinda sucks.

This weekend will see quite a bit of favor added, how much ,who knows but it wont be crazy like LB/SS weekend. However I cant wait for favor to run out. Scrolls will go up, ecto will go up, and farmers will likely only farm when there is favor- more profit for investment. It will probably not bring the economy back to where it was but will help and will stabilize things because passage scrolls are a big gold sink.

Actually... they already HAVE jumped up in price (gj predicting something that already happened). They can be bought at the trader for 1.7k now and sold at 1.2k (myself and several of my friends who forsaw this have been stocking up on these for weeks).

Sorry, but scrolls won't go higher then 1k. And if they do, people will just pay the entrance fee when we get favor, only really desperate people will pay for scrolls over 1k. So the scrolls won't "shoot up," it will increase by about 500-200g. Also, once favor runs out, after about a week or so we will get another title weekend (this time for titles that actually count towards favor, not the EN rep titles).

Edit: well, I think I should go look at the scroll prices a bit more... Seeing how they apparently have gone over 1k. But people will still rather pay the entrance fee/not go instead of pay for those scrolls.

It actually does. But, it's more accurate to say it's another "0MG F4V0R I5 RUNNING 0U7! NOOOOOOOOES!" thread. How many more will pop up?

Anyways, no the next update will not be on making favor last longer, and if it does, will just change the 3 min per title to 5 min or something. The next update will be skills and other junk. The next BIG update will be the HoM thing, maybe a little extra we weren't told about. But it is MUCH more likely that they will throw another double SS/LB weekend. Or maybe a "Monsters half as strong in HM!!!!1!!!" weekend so people can get their vanquisher and guardian titles in. (I really hope that is NOT the case)

Actually i think favor will disappear faster - cause many people are far away from maxing Lucky and Unlucky - and people will go for LU/UL - so they dont have time to max other titels for about 3 days

Anyway - favor will run out before the event ...

IMO they should add +1 minute of favour per ecto earned in the last fortnight or so...then we won't have to worry

Seriously though, they don't have to elongate the favour at all...if favour was meant to be constant and unlimited then why would Anet have tied it to title earning in the first place?

They did that to make people grind titles =D

But more on topic, last night i saw the favor drop to 888 minutes.. Hopefully it will run out again. But the thing is, people dont see that when it does, we will get it back... Its not like gone forever, it's just gonna take a bit longer to get partys ready.

And maybe this will make the "Elite" missions Eg. Urgoz, The Deep, DoA and the supposedly elite EoTN dungeon a bit more popular.

Just stop worrying about ectos and scrolls.. Its only a tiny insignificant part of the game, theres more to GW than farming ectos till your eyeballs drop out
